Brainzie Poolside (the "app") is a free stopwatch for swimming coaches and parents, operated by Brainzie Ltd. It runs entirely in your web browser. This policy explains the little data involved.
The times you record — splits, sessions, races — are held in your browser on your own device (in local storage) so you can pick up where you left off. They are never uploaded to us, there is no account, and we cannot see them.
So we know which features are worth improving, the app records anonymous usage counts: an allow-listed action name (for example "race started" or "shared") and a random per-browser id that we store only as a one-way, salted hash. This tells us how many people use the app and how much — never who, and never any of your times or personal data. The counts are processed by Cloudflare on our behalf.
An owner-only statistics screen lets Brainzie sign in with Google or Microsoft to read those anonymous counts. This is for the app's owner; it does not apply to normal use, and signing in is never required to use any timing tool.
The app and this site are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any website, Cloudflare may process basic request information (such as IP address) to serve pages and protect against abuse, under its own terms.
Because we don't hold your timing data or any account, there's nothing of yours for us to access, export or delete on a server — clearing your browser data removes everything the app stored. For any privacy question, contact Brainzie.
